blossoming creativity Blog Hop & Giveaway

Get ready for some great inspiration just in time to get that creativity to blossom. If you are hopping along with us, you have just come from Michelle Burnier and your next stop is Bridget Casey. For more information on the release or for more information check out the Altenew Card Blog. You can check out the release too!

There are so many amazing products from this release. I am sorting my projects based on the technique used in the projects.

Cover Dies

The Geo Tiles cover die is stunning when cut out of Altenew’s Brushed Metallic Silver Cardstock. I placed the die cut onto navy cardstock for a wow effect.

The die cut was paired with a colored image from the Bloom with Grace stamp set. The sentiment is from the Versatile Greetings hot foil and dies set.

The Triangle Madness die cuts out different layers of triangles. Here I used the dies to cut out patterned blue paper, purple metallic paper and Altenew’s Brushed Metallic Rose Gold paper.

In order to maintain a clean look, I just added a sentiment from the Versatile Greetings hot foil and dies.

Blending

Gracious Peonies is a gorgeous stamp set with coordinating coloring stencil. I used Sugarplums inks with Sea Shore inks.

This is a large bloom so I gave it a background using Grand Stream Washi Tape. I like how the subtle gray plays off the bold color.

The sentiment comes from the Gracious Peonies stamp set. This stamp set has a lot of amazing sentiments in a clean, large font.

The Imaginary Jungle 3D embossing folder comes with a coordinating coloring stencil. I opted not to use the stencil with this project and instead kept the embossed image white save for coloring in some details with Altenew Artist Markers.

To keep the look clean and simple, I just added a sentiment from the Versatile Greetings hot foil and die set. I love the sophisticated look of this project.

The Swallowtail Butterfly die set has three different butterflies. I chose this one that looks like it is taking flight.

I die cut the butterfly from blue and purple cardstock and added some shine with Altenew’s Brushed Metallic cardstock in Rose Gold.

The butterfly is paired with foiled letters from the Essential Alpha hot foil, stencil and die set.

To help the letters stand out, I blended part of the background with Northern Shore inks. A piece of Gold String washi adds even more shimmer and shine.

  5. Gorgeous array of cards. I’m not the biggest fan of geometric styles,
but I really do love the Geo Tiles cover die you used on the first card.
And the Imaginary Jungle 3D EF went straight to my wish list – it’s a
beauty (& I’m a bird nerd!!). I love how CAS you left that card.
