Altenew Blossoming Creativity Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello and welcome to the celebration of Altenew’s November Simply Scientific release. There are so many amazing products that you do not want to miss out on this one. If you are hopping along with us today you have just come from Teresa Litchfield and your next stop is Kari VanNoy. For more information and inspiration check out the Altenew Card Blog. Ready to go shopping? Check out this release on the Altenew Website.

This release has it all from embossing folders to stencils and amazing stamps. I am going to highlight a few of these products today.

The Rose Buds stencil and die set is adorable and quickly makes two rose buds. Here I used the Pocketful of Sunshine inks and Green Valley inks to make the rose bud.

The background is die cut from the Dotted Geo Cover Die. This cover die adds texture by piercing the paper without cutting through it.

The sentiment is the Fancy Miss You die cut from Brushed Metallic Gold cardstock.

The Pine Forest Simple Coloring Stencil pairs perfectly with the Pine Forest 3D embossing folder. Check out this post where I debuted the Pine Forest 3D Embossing Folder.

After embossing a piece of cardstock with the Pine Forest 3D embossing folder, I used the stencil to color in the trees. I used a mixture of greens to add variety to the images.

To finish the look I added white splatter from the Pure White ink spray along with a sentiment stamped in Obsidian Ink.

The Chemistry Vases stamp, die and stencil set is a must have to celebrate those scientists in your life.

Here I used the Erlenmeyer flask stamp and made a shaker card.

To get the graduation marks to stay, I stamped on heat resistant acetate and then heat set the black ink with clear embossing powder. I love how the sequins look like water bubbling up in the flask.

I paired this with the Happy Birthday in Periodic Table speak to add just the right touch.

  1. I really like your pine forest card- so perfect for those of us who live in the Pacific North West of the U.S. Add a deer, bear, or cabin with a sentiment, and there you have a great masculine card! Great for any season!

  2. Just knew you would do something awesome with the chemistry stamps.
I am going to copy that one for sure.

  3. Beautiful cards. Love love the pine forest stencil and card. Love the shaker card. That is so cute and creative.

  4. I love how you used the tree stencils to create your forest of trees. The colors were well chosen. And the miss you die is fast becoming a favorite of mine.

  5. I can almost smell the pines in the forest. I am anxious to make that forest my own!
    Your cards are wonderfully fun:)

  6. Awesome cards! Lovely rose bud design, the pine forest is fabulous, and the shaker card is so fun!
