Hello and welcome to this simple Hello card. I don’t always have a lot of time to craft so I like projects that I can complete at one sitting. This card is quick to make and I make many at a time so I will have some on hand when I just need to send a note to someone.

First I cut a piece of Neenah 80lb Solar white cardstock to 4″H by 5″wide. I then used a Hero Arts bicycle rubber stamp and stamped it offset on the card using Hero Arts India Ink. When this ink dries, you can watercolor without repercussion. I also stamped some flowers and leaves from Hero Arts Flower Garden stamp set in the corner of the card. I like this stamp set because it has both line and solid images. To stamp the flowers and leaves, I used Hero Arts Shadow Inks: Field Greens, Passion Flower, Bubblegum and Soft Pink.

After stamping, I wanted to color in the bicycle basket and flowers using Tombow Dual Brush markers. For the flowers in the corner, I wanted a lighter look so I used a Kuretake Water Brush to pull color from the marker tips and apply it to the flowers. I like to watercolor this way because it quickly gives a watercolor look without much setup or clean up. When you want to change colors, simply brush the Kuretake bristles on a clean piece of scrap paper to clean the brush.

I wanted to heat emboss the sentiment to give the card some shine and dimension. After prepping the paper with the EK Powder Tool, I stamped the Hero Arts Bonjour stamp using VersaMark ink. I then sprinkled on WOW! Super Fine Copper Embossing powder and heat set it. I love the way “Bonjour” stands out on the card. Since I had all the embossing supplies out anyway, I took some solid flowers from Hero Arts Flower Garden and embossed them onto the front of the envelope.
For assembly of the card, I used a premade A2 sized Kraft card from Michael’s Recollections collection. I adhered the white card front with adhesive and offset the panel to the right side allowing me to place a piece of 4″ Washi tape on the left of the card. I found this Washi tape on a trip to Michael’s and loved how it had the cutouts and glitter.
Thanks for joining me today at Seven’s Crafts. I hope you feel inspired to say Bonjour to someone. Have a great day!
