Craft a flower: Butterfly Bush
I love butterfly bush plants. The fragrance they have when they bloom in late summer. I sit on my front porch and watch all the butterflies just lounging on the flowers. Combining one of my favorite flowers with my favorite way to make flowers is amazing. For this project, I added foiling details to increase the shine on my card project.
I had a lot of fun putting this card together. The Craft a Flower die sets add so much texture to a project and I wanted to continue that texture to the entire card.
The background of the card is from the Floating Foliage 3D embossing folder. I love the subtle white embossing combined with the bold colors of the card
The Butterfly Bush dies are easy to line up. Here are the color combinations: black paper is the first layer, Altenew Alcohol Ink Backgrounds paper is the second and the third layer. On the third layer, I added some bonding embossing powder, heat set it and then added foil. I like the foil elements that give just enough shine.
The letters are cut using the Tall Alpha Lowercase die set from Altenew Gold Foil cardstock. I also added some foil to the butterfly’s wings.
