Altenew: A Year In Review: Crafters’ Edition Blog Hop #2

Hello and welcome to our blog hop celebrating another amazing year of Altenew innovation. I am sharing four of my favorite designs this year. If you are hopping along with us you have just come from Ishani and your next stop is, Angela Brennan. Keep reading for inspiration, a chance to win some amazing prizes and share your favorite Altenew designs from this year.

A soft watercolor washed background complements the Build a Garden Tulips and Friends.

The coordinating stencil with the Build a Garden series makes for an easy way to color in the image with depth.

I used the Altenew Antique Gold embossing powder for the sentiment and also for the Tulips and Friends image for extra sparkle over the subtle washed background.

Craft a Flowers are a favorite of mine. The Craft a Flower Sunburst Azalea has such great detail and so easy to put together.

Here the flower pieces were inked with colors from the Four Scoops ink set. The flowers were then adhered to a background made using the Alphabet Stencil. I like pairing florals with geometric backgrounds.

One of my favorite Altenew products this year were coordinating stencils with embossing folders. The Craft Your Life kits like Bewitching Rose, are so easy to use and provide amazing details.

I die cut the main image and then used embossed it using the coordinating embossing folder. The stencil in the kit adds amazing depth and dimension to the flower.

The Bewitching Rose image is adhered to a background embossed with Hexagon Blocks 3D embossing folder.

The easiest way to add a sentiment and keep the soft background is to emboss it onto a piece of vellum and then add that to the card.

This is a never before released card!

Garden Delights flowers stamped in Martian Terrain Inks boldly complement the soft green background.

The background was made by repeat stamping with Embroidered Foliage stamps using Nature’s Wonder’s inks.

The LOVE sentiment is from the Tied with Love die set.

Check out some other ideas with these flowers in my video here.
