Personalizing Christmas

Personalizing Stockings

…and their stockings were hung by the chimney with care
For Christmas this year, I purchased some stockings on Black Friday at Michael’s. I wanted to personalize them with everyone’s name.
I bought these cute plaid stockings with a large red cuff. I also bought an extra roll of Cotton Linen Cricut Iron on vinyl. On Cricut Design Space, I typed out the names and then decided on a system font: In Cricut Design Space there are Cricut Fonts you can purchase or the app can also use System Fonts you may already have.
The cuff measured 7” wide by 5” high. All the names are 1” high and I locked the height/width ratio to keep the sizes similar even though each name had different numbers of letters.
I cut out the vinyl using my Expression Air on the iron-on setting with mirror on selected. I then used my iron to adhere the vinyl onto the cuff. I used extra time with the heat so I could make sure the vinyl adhered to the thick felt.
They came out cute and I can’t wait to hang them up!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope this inspired you to personalize your Holiday Decor.
