For my projects today, I played around with Embossing Powder. I have been enamored with embossing powder for quite some time and I like to mix different embossing powders on the same project. I encourage you to get out your stash of embossing powders and see how you can mix and match on your projects.
Sentimental Florals stamp, stencil and die set
The Sentimental Florals stamp set has individual flowers you can use to build a design or this beautiful wreath. I chose to use the wreath because it is simple and beautiful .
The wreath is heat embossed in Platinum embossing powder. The images were colored using the coordinating stencil. Here are the ink colors: Leaves: parrot, olive and moss, Flowers: pink diamond/rubellite, Sea Glass/Dusk, and Sunkissed.
The sentiment is from the stamp set and was heat embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder. I like to mix Rose Gold and Platinum because they are both neutrals and look good together.
Enjoy Life stamp, stencil and die set
I love the simple elegance of this card that matches the encouraging words. This stamp set has two beautiful floral images and amazing encouraging sentiments.
The floral image from the stamp set is embossed with Platinum embossing powder on a piece of light blue cardstock that is 1 3/4″ wide.
The sentiment panel has a main sentiment embossed in Caribbean Sky embossing powder. The sub sentiments are embossed in Platinum embossing powder. The sentiment panel is 2 1/2″ wide.
This is Your Day stamp and die set
I love the retro feel of this card, from the colors to the shapes and the sentiment.
This is your day is a wonderful graphic stamp set. For the main sentiment I used Caribbean Sky embossing powder and the sub sentiment is from the set and was stamped in Burnt Red ink from the Martian Terrain inks. The sentiment is spotlighted using a hexagon from the GeoFrames stamp set (Hazelnut ink).
The background is the Illusion Hexagon stencil using these inks: Canyon Clay and Burnt Red from Martian Terrain ink set, Icy Water and Arctic Mountain from Northern Shore ink set, and Hazelnut from Delectable Delights ink set. The hexagons were outlined in gold gel ink pen from the Must Have Gel Pen set.
