Altenew Get Inky with Alcohol Inks Blog Hop

Thank you so much for joining us on the Altenew inspirational hop celebrating alcohol inks! Alcohol inks are very versatile and can be used in so many ways. If you are hopping along with us you have just come from Mindy Eggen. This is the end of the hop so congratulations for making it this far. Make sure to check out the Altenew Card Blog for more information.

Altenew Alcohol Inks

Altenew has an amazing assortment of alcohol inks. Check out Altenew’s Alcohol Inks Collection for more information. My favorite use of alcohol inks is to make backgrounds. I then die cut these panels using the Craft Your Life flowers.

The Craft a Flower: Garden Rose has two blooms. To make this card, I created panels using: Wisteria and Persian Blue alcohol inks, Rubellite ink and Shadow Creek ink. Once those panels were dry, I used the dies from the Craft a Flower: Garden Rose and glued the pieces together.

Since the flowers are so bold, I wanted to create a subtle background. I used the Foliage stencil and blended FireFly dye ink over it. I then added a sentiment from the Paint a Flower Wood Anemone stamped using Obsidian Ink. I added a border using the Altenew Fine Liner Pen set.
