Hello crafty friends! It is another amazing Altenew Craft Your Life Kit release. Dynamic Blossoms is a really amazing kit. I wanted to showcase as many of the pieces of this amazing kit. If you are hopping along with us, you have just come from Emily Midgett and your next stop is Sande Woodson. If you would like more information about the hop and the kit, checkout the Altenew Card Blog. Let me know your favorite part of the Dynamic Blossoms kit.
Dynamic Blossoms kit
Each Craft Your Life Project Kit comes with a stamp and die set, coloring stencil and coordinating embossing folders. Each one of these kits are so jam packed with supplies. I wanted to show how you can mix and match the kit items.
Laying a die cut over stenciling
This card uses the floral set layered over the stencil in the kit. The stamp set was stamped used the Tea Party, Golden Sunset and Nature’s Wonders ink sets. The outline stamp was heat embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder. The image was cut out using the coordinating dies and then adhered with Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape. The panel was stenciled with Sea Glass and Ocean Waves inks from the Cool Summer Night set. The sentiment is from Sentiment Strips and was heat embossed with Rose Gold embossing powder and then cut out using the Featured Sentiments die set.
Die Cut inlay
This project uses a stencil, one of the dies, a sentiment die and a stamped sentiment from the dynamic blossoms kit. First I added embossing ink through the stencil onto a sheet of paper. I then layered embossing powder: Antique Gold, Caribbean Blue, Golden Peach, and Rose Gold onto the paper and heat set it. I then used the die cut to cut out all the pieces. I used the stencil to line up the pieces onto a second card front. The card is finished off with the You die cut from the kit three times. The sentiment was stamped with embossing ink and then heat set with Rose Gold embossing powder and cut out using the Featured Sentiments die set. This card was involved with resetting all the pieces but I like the look of the raised elements on the card.
Each month Altenew releases a Craft Your Life Project Kit. Each kit has so many amazing products. Altenew runs a subscription for this kit so you can get the kit on the day it is released and for a discounted price.
