Altenew Craft-A-Flower: Snowdrop

Snowdrops are harbingers of spring. Their lovely delicate flowers peeking up over the snow signal winter is finally over and spring is near. I wanted to bring that feeling to this card by using shades of white and green. 

To make this background, I took a piece of Neenah 80lb solar white cardstock and blended firefly and grass fields over it using the Altenew large blender brush. To add extra detail and texture to the background, I used the Garden Trellis stencil. On the Garden Trellis Stencil, I pounced a white pigment ink all over one side. Then I laid the inked stencil over the blended background. Carefully, I ran the stencil and blended background through my die cutting machine using the embossing mat. This will depress the white ink into the background in the stencil pattern. 

The snow drops and leaves were cut from metallic card stock.

Leaves: Stardream Metallic in Fairway and Eucalyptus

The card was finished off with some Golden Trim Washi tape and a sentiment from Perfectly Perfect stamp set heat embossed with Altenew Antique Gold Embossing Powder.
