Hello and welcome the Altenew Celebrating Parents Card Drive 2023! Altenew is once again giving back by collecting handmade cards to be handed out to seniors in Nursing Homes or Shelters. You can send in your handmade cards to Altenew by April 17 and they will be handed out to seniors. For more information check out the information on Altenew’s website.

For my projects, I wanted to make a masculine and feminine card using the same floral layering stamp set, Wispy Joy. Although the two layouts are similar, using different color combinations and leaf/flower combinations changes the feel of the card. Check out my two cards below:

Mega You die in Brushed Metallic Copper Cardstock sits atop a garden of flowers stamped from warm ink families. The Wispy Joy stamp set has three different flower shapes. I stamped them in pinks, corals and yellows. The flowers are arranged on top of a stenciled leaf bed from the Leaf Bed Stencil.

The stenciled background from the Leaf Bed Stencil creates the perfect backdrop for this card. The Mega You die is cut from Brushed Metallic Card Stock in Silver. The leaves from the Wispy Joy set ground the large die cut.

    Hi Amy, your cards are beautiful. I love the copper colored “You” on the first card. Your choice of flowers around it are such a pretty combination. Your second card is very subtle and would also be great as a masculine card too. I look forward to your next projects.

    Brushed metallic die cut mega ‘you’ with colorful flowers and a subtler one in greens with more brushed metallic. Lovely cards! You’ve given me so many ideas to create cards for Altenew’s Celebrating Parents Card Drive. I have the mega happy, hello and thanks dies as well as all 4 brushed metallic papers too. It’s wonderful that Altenew is doing this drive again!
